Total Time 2 hours hrs 13 minutes mins
- 1 pack of bacon
- 2-3 large onions
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 6 large carrots
- 6 stalks of celery
- 500 g ground beef
- 500 g ground veal and pork mix
- 140 g tomato paste

Fry the bacon until it is golden and crispy.
Meanwhile, finely chop the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic.
Transfer the bacon to a bowl lined with kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.
Let the vegetables sauté in the leftover bacon fat on the pan for about 10 minutes.
Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
Mix in the tomato paste with the meat and let it fry for about a minute.
Pour in the red wine and let it reduce for 5-10 minutes.
Return the bacon to the pot along with the crushed tomatoes.
Let the sauce simmer for at least 1-2 hours, but preferably much longer.
Finally, add the cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with your favorite pasta and a generous amount of parmesan cheese.
Bon appétit!
